THE SKYLIGHTER by Becky Wallace | Cover Reveal & Giveaway

Hello and welcome to today's cover reveal for THE SKYLIGHTER! I'm so thrilled to reveal this cover. This is book two in Becky Wallace's The Keeper's Chronicles series, and the sequel to her debut, THE STORYSPINNER, which was released last year. I loved that book.

CHECOUTHIS COVER!

I LOVE this cover! I think it's a great companion cover to The Storyspinner cover. I love that it features Rafi on it. I'm looking forward to finding out more about what the lights on the cover are about. As I've come to learn, there's a reason they're on the cover, as they are in the story, and match the title of the book - The Skylighter.

The Skylighter will be out on March 22nd, 2016 and is available for pre-order from Amazon | Simon & Schuster. Add it to Goodreads!

Becky Wallace was gracious to take time out of her crazy schedule to talk about her cover. Take it away Becky!

Five Things I LOVE About this Cover
  1. RAFI!!!  I’m so excited that Simon & Schuster decided to put him on the cover. And, let’s be honest, that model has beautiful lips.
  2. THE SKYLIGHTER cover is a great compliment to THE STORYSPINNER! It has that same swirling sense of movement.
  3. How cool is Rafi’s leather armor? Here’s an interesting little tidbit, my editor, Annie Nybo, laced the bracers herself!
  4. The title treatment mimics THE STORYSPINNER’s, but it’s silver instead of gold. (SECRET: Skylighters are the Performers’ firework makers, and this story has some serious explosions to support that title!)
  5. So many little details from the plot are incorporated into the cover *cough—there’s a hint in Book 1 that explains the colors on the cover of Book 2—cough*

CAGE OF DECEIT by Jennifer Anne Davis | Waiting on Wednesday #251

By: Jennifer Anne Davis
Published by: Clean Teen Publishing
To Be Released On: 8/25/15
Series: Reign of Secrets #1
Pre-Order From: Amazon
Add it to Goodreads

Jennifer Anne Davis's best-selling True Reign series captivated readers from the very first page. Now, get ready to become entangled in the follow-up series, Reign of Secrets. In this new series, follow Allyssa, the daughter of the beloved Emperor Darmik and Empress Rema— and find out what happens after happily ever after.

Seventeen-year-old Allyssa appears to be the ideal princess of Emperion—she’s beautiful, elegant, and refined. She spends her days locked in a suffocating cage, otherwise known as royal court. But at night, Allyssa uses her secret persona—that of a vigilante—to hunt down criminals and help her people firsthand.

Unfortunately, her nightly escapades will have to wait because the citizens of Emperion may need saving from something much bigger than common criminals. War is encroaching on their country and in order to protect her people, Allyssa may have to sacrifice her heart. Forced to entertain an alliance through marriage with a handsome prince from a neighboring kingdom, she finds herself feeling even more stifled than before. To make matters worse, the prince has stuck his nosy squire, Jarvik, to watch her every move.

Jarvik is infuriating, bossy and unfortunately, the only person she can turn to when she unveils a heinous plot. Together, the unlikely pair will have to work together to stop an enemy that everyone thought was long gone, one with the power to destroy her family and the people of Emperion. Now the cage Allyssa so longed to break free from might just be the one thing she has to fight to keep intact. In order to save her kingdom, she will have to sacrifice her freedom, her heart, and maybe even her life.

I love it when my book friends put a book I've never heard of, on my book radar. Awhile back a friend of mine, Damaris from Good Choice Reading, raved about this book on Facebook, and I immediately added this to my TBR list. I'm a sucker for a well written fantasy/high fantasy YA book. Cage of Deceit sounds like a read that I'll love.

Luckily right now, Jennifer's other series, True Reign Series, which this book is a spin off from, is available on Amazon. I've been told you don't have to read this series to understand all that happens in Cage of Deceit, but I hear it's worth the read. Right now, you can get the first book from that series, The Key, for FREE on Amazon. Find out more about The Key here. I totally downloaded this one from Amazon last night, and y'all know I'm not a big e-book reader. While I patiently wait for Cage of Deceit to be release, I'll be reading this book. I'm looking forward to getting my hands on Cage of Deceit when it's out!

What book are you waiting to be released?
