BEA Here I Come!

We're only a few days away from BEA (Book Expo of America), one of the largest book conventions in the world. I am so excited that I'll be there again this year!! Last year was a BLAST! Not only was it my first time attending BEA, it was my first time in NYC, and WOW, what an adventure is was. You can check out all my coverage from BEA last year here. Long story short, I was planning on going, then stuff came up, and I wasn't going to be able to go, and then last weekend my BEA fairy godmother (yes she is real) made it all possible for me to come out. I'll be out there on Friday & Saturday this year! I can not wait!! Just excuse the fact that I might be really out of it on Friday as I get in at like 2 am. haha

There is so much I want to do the two days I'm there. I know it won't be possible to do everything. Out of the huge list I had originally made, I broke it down into a much smaller list.

This year I'm looking forward to:
  • Seeing authors friends, blogger friends, and publisher friends I've connected with in person previously.
  • Meeting new publicists I've recently started working with.
  • Meeting blogger/ on line friends
  • Meeting authors I've not met before
  • CASSANDRA CLARE's signing. It doesn't matter how many of her events I go to, I always love seeing her.
  • Hopefully doing a little bit more site seeing, and finding Books of Wonder.
Signing & Author Events:

I was so thrilled and grateful for all the invitations I received for BEA parties and get togethres. Unfortunately I will miss all the exciting events happening on Wednesday and Thursday as I won't be there, and will miss a few while I'm there. But, there are two events I'll be posting about I will be attending! I'm so excited about them.

Author wise, there are a ton of authors coming to BEA this year. While it can be insane trying to narrow down who you want to see, and what signing you want to get to, I decided this year to pick a top 5 out of my list, which is:
  • Sarah J Maas - Heir of Fire (Friday signing)
  • Josephine Angelini - Trail by Fire (Thursday signing)
  • Jennifer L. Armentrout - The Return (Saturday signing)
  • Jennifer L. Armentout - Stone Cold Touch (Saturday signing)
  • Julie Kagawa - Talon (Thursday signing)
  • Robin LaFevers - Mortal Heart
There are a ton of authors I'm excited to see. This list in no way means I'm not excited to see them. I didn't list Cassandra Clare, as she's a given. I will totally be at her signing. Unfortunately I'll miss Josephine & Julie's signings by a day, and Cassie & Jennifer both sign on Saturday. I'm trying to figure out a way to clone myself so I can be at each of their signings at the same time. lol

Over all

Regardless of events, and signings, I'm really looking forward to just attending the event. To connecting with people I work with and friends I've made on line. It will be one heck of a crazy busy two days, and totally worth the lack of sleep I'll be getting.

Are you going to BEA? Let me know! I'd love to meet you!
