The Cross Roads Blog Tour Day #7: Kiki Hamilton / Dawn Dalton

Welcome to Days 7 of The Cross Roads Blog Tour, hosted by author Judith Graves. Be sure to stop by the tour blog page HERE to check out the awesome line up of authors who are apart of this year's tour, as well as the bloggers who will be hosting each author. Don't forget find out how you can win a kindle! Today I'm thrilled to have Kiki Hamilton on the blog, and the chance to featured Dawn Dalton's books.

What's the best part about being an author?

Honestly, it’s the wonderful notes I get from readers who are excited about reading or loved my book.  People are so kind!!

What's your favourite book and what is the book on your night table right now?

The Harry Potter series is by far, my favorite book(s).  I’m reading an ARC of THE BOOKSELLER right now, which is an adult novel by Mark Pryor, that I really like.

You often write about locations you've never travelled to. How much research do you do, and is there a thing as TOO much research? How do you know when to cap it?

I enjoy the research and it’s astonishing sometimes how facts I discover researching tie in with parts of my stories I’ve already written. Weird, kind of. But sometimes, it is really hard work too. My editor on TFR insisted that all the historical aspects be accurate and sometimes it would take me 2 hours to write a paragraph!

Without giving spoilers, what can readers expect from The Torn Wing?

It’s the next chapter of Tiki and Rieker’s lives as they get to know each other better and learn about their own pasts and that of the world of the fey.

Thank you Kiki!

Thank you so much for participating in the  Crossroads Tour and supporting our books! xo Kiki

You can visit Kiki via her Website | Twitter | Facebook. Be sure to kick up Kiki's books, The Faerie Ring, The Torn Ring, and you can pick up The Seven Year King in late Spring of 2013.

*Thank you to Judith for supplying the questions for today's tour stop.

Dawn Dalton wrote her first monster book at the age of eight when she discovered writing about them was way less scary than looking for the beasties under her bed. Since then, she's still leery of things that go bump in the night, but she'd like to think her creepy storytelling skills have improved. After earning a degree in Journalism, Dawn ventured into communications, marketing, and public relations. But her heart has always belonged to fiction.

Though she'll always be a BC, girl, Dawn now lives in Edmonton, Alberta with her husband, teenage stepdaughter and three bullmastiff hounds. You know, just skulking around.

Dawn also writes adult thriller and paranormal fiction under the last name IUS.

You can follow Dawn on her Blog | Twitter | FacebookDon't miss her most recent release, SPIRITED: 13 Haunting Tales, released earlier this year by Leap Books.

TMI Movie News / TMI Weekly Update

This week has been crazy busy, and while I've reposted Cassie's latest posts on Tumblr and Twitter, I've not yet done so on here. Here's a recap of this week's TMI movie posts, teasers and more.

On Friday, TMI Movie director Harald Zwart posted a picture from the TMI Movie set saying, "There's nothing like a good ol' film light in a fogged up studio". Is it August of next year yet? Be sure to follow Harald on Tumblr and Twitter.

Earlier in the week he also posted two sketches he did saying the one above was: for an effect where the stele makes it possible to see through the walls

This one is, "A sketch I did for the interior of a padded cell room Luke uses."

TMI Movie executive producer Martin Moszkowicz unveiled the OFFICIAL fanmail address this week, for the cast and crew of The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones movie.

The Mortal Instruments
8581 Santa Monica Blvd. #15
West Hollywood, CA 90069, USA

Cassie shared more HAND pictures this week! The one above is of her hand along side Jocelyn aka Lena Headey's. The one below is of Cassie's hand along with Hugo's. She says, "My hand and Hugo's.... hand. Bird bird bird!"

I have to share two fan made things that were shared with me this week. First my favorite TMI fan artist has a new piece! Kara-lija shared her new Jace and Clary here. I love her work! I can't wait to see the final piece.

TMI fan Iani Lew Kee shared this amazing TMI: City of Bones Animation they did. It's amazing! Check it out below.

Clockwork Princess Teaser / Clockwork Prince Read A Long Dates

Cassie treated fans to a WILL teaser this week!

“Jem told me what Ragnor Fell said about my father,” Will said. “That for my father, there was only ever one woman he loved, and it was her for him, or nothing. You are that for me. I love you, and I will only ever love you until I die —”

Gah, well if that's not a killer line. *grabs a pallet of kleenexes* Why do I get the feeling that I'll be sobbing like a baby after reading Clockwork Princess. March 19th can't get her fast enough!

Mark your calendars! I'll be hosting my annual TMI/ID read a long from February 19th - March 18th, 2013. This read along will be for Clockwork Prince.

The next read along will take place in July for City of Bones! *More details to come on both read alongs.
