Rift Blog Tour: Ember & Agnes

You guys I am so excited about this tour! I LOVED RIFT, and I'm trilled to be able to introduce you guys to two of the characters you'll meet in Andrea Cremer's newest release, out tomorrow! You can read my 5 star review here. Before I introduce you to Ember and Agnes, here's a little bit about RIFT.

Chronicling the rise of the Keepers, this is the stunning prequel to Andrea Cremer's internationally bestselling Nightshade trilogy!

Sixteen-year-old Ember Morrow is promised to a group called Conatus after one of their healers saves her mother's life. Once she arrives, Ember finds joy in wielding swords, learning magic, and fighting the encroaching darkness loose in the world. She also finds herself falling in love with her mentor, the dashing, brooding, and powerful Barrow Hess. When the knights realize Eira, one of their leaders, is dabbling in dark magic, Ember and Barrow must choose whether to follow Eira into the nether realm or to pledge their lives to destroying her and her kind.

With action, adventure, magic, and tantalizing sensuality, this book is as fast-paced and breathtaking as the Nightshade novels -quoted from Goodreads

But unlike her elder sister, Agnes, Ember may have a chance to escape this life she doesn’t want, for her father owes a debt to the secret order of Conatus and Ember is meant to pay that debt.

Mundane Monday #148

Happy Mundane Monday!! I hope you all had a lovely weekend. Today's quote is from a teaser Cassie posted yesterday from Clockwork Princess in honor of Jem's YA Crush Tourney match win. Sadly that match was against Magnus.... *sniffs* Now Jem will be going up against WILL! Y'all know where I stand on this one. Though I love Jem, I'm all TEAM WILL (more on that later this week). Enjoy today's MM quote:

“Though Will was saying earlier,” Tessa added, “that heroes all come to bad ends, and he could not imagine why anyone would want to be one, anyway.”
“Ah.” Jem’s hand squeezed hers briefly, and then let it go. “Well, Will is looking at it from the hero’s viewpoint, isn’t he? But as for the rest of us, it’s an easy answer.”
“Is it?”
“Of course.” His voice was almost a whisper now. “Heroes endure because we need them. Not for their own sakes. If Will …”
